Isla San Pedro Nolasco, Sea of Cortez, Mexico

  *  The shallow east walls of Isla San Pedro Nolasco are especially rich in both vertebrate and invertebrate life.  The above image is an example.  Most conspicuous is the Mexican Dancer Nudibranch (Tridachiella diomedea,) or as it now is known, (Elysia diomedea,) is seasonably abundant in various sites in the Sea of Cortez.  To the right is the Orange Cup Coral, sometimes called the Sun Coral or Orange Tube Coral.  In the foreground are white and purple Coralline Algae.
