The intense yellow color of this Verongia is common on the walls of Little Cayman Island.  Here, the Verongia occurs
 with Purple Rope Sponge, orange Didiscus Sponge, and  Branched Fire Coral.  Bloody Bay Wall, Little Cayman Island

 *  The intense yellow color of this Verongia is not uncommon on the walls of Little Cayman Island.  The Verongia is probably (Verongia longissima.) Similar sponges on the north wall of Grand Cayman Island are tinged in purple (1).  In the upper left corner is Purple Rope Sponge (Haliclona hogarthi.) Below the base of the Verongia is a spherical orange Didiscus Sponges (Didiscus sp..)   Branched Fire Coral (Millepora alcicornis) appears a bit to the right of the sponge base.
