*The Yellow Coneflower (Ratibida columnaris)  pictured above was found in a favorite wildflower location, the White Mountains Wilderness Area of the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico.  Such flowers may be seen in summer near roadsides, in fields and meadows, and aspen groves along the Crest Trail, U.S. Forest Trail # 25.
