*For lovers of the unique in desert landscapes, autumn in Sabino Canyon is a must.  It is located in Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, a part of the Coronado National Forest; and lies in the eastern foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.  It offers a treasure box of desert landscapes at all times of the year, but in autumn, it really shines.  The above image was taken in early November, and emphasizes the contrast between the golden-yellow foliage of the Fremont Cottonwood Trees, and the surrounding Saguaro dotted cliffs
