A lovely flower a Night-blooming Hedgehog. We believe it to to be Echinopsis multiplex.

Las Cruces, New Mexico (July)
*The variety of hybrids of the Echinopsis family seems unending. The flowers are lovely and varied, and much sought by Cactophiles. The group is sometimes categorized as Night-blooming Hedgehogs, as the flowers open nocturnally. We think that the above is a flower of Echinopsis multiplex, and not a hybrid. We lack the expertise to be cetrain. |
