A cluster of flowers of Echinopsis (Trichocereus) x 'Apricot Glow', developed by Dr. Mark Dimmitt of Tucson, Arizona. Las Cruces, New Mexico (July) |
*Developed by Dr. Mark Dimmitt of Tucson, Arizona, the delicate shadings of apricot, orange-red and yellow make for unusually attractive flowers, even among the notably beautiful Echinopsis hybrids. The flowers open nocturnally, or in the early morning, and can persist for as much as two days. |
