From a point on the eastern route to Indian Hollow, a clearing storm reveals the spires of the
Rabbit Ears.
Organ Mountains, New Mexico - January
*From a vantage point on a ridge south of
the Aguirre Springs Campground, along one of the eastern routes to
Indian Hollow, heavy fog covered the Organ Mountains, and in
particular the Rabbit Ear Spires. As we waited, the
fog began to clear, and we were able to snap the above image.
A few steps from this point ,
we were able to obtain an additional image
(1).
Both the Rabbit Ear Spires and the nearby Low Horns were popular climbing destinations for the hardy members of the old Southwestern Mountaineers. |
