The historical site of Bogoliubovo, located on a high point overlooking the Kliazma river.

 

 

*This fortified site was built by the tyrannical Prince Andrei, and was the location of his assassination by conspirators on the night of 29 June, 1174. The present architectural ensemble dates back primarily to the nineteenth century.
