 *  The Tiger Grouper (Mycteroperca tigris) is said to be one of the most common of the Groupers in the Caribbean.  It is interesting that we encountered it less frequently than the Nassau Grouper.  Both Nassau and Tiger Groupers can change colors to become less conspicuous. Also, as seen above, the Tiger Grouper often turns a bright red when at a cleaning station.
